Human Sounds is the September content drop for Krotos Studio. It adds eighteen performable presets across four areas: body and physical detail, crowd and callout performances, voice and ambience, and food and drink. It's live in the Library view from 3 September for all Krotos Studio and Krotos Studio Pro subscribers.
What's included
Body and physical
Baby, Knuckle Crack, Pee, Peeing, Skin Scratch, Whistling. The small, everyday human details that bring authenticity to a scene, from a baby's coos to a satisfying knuckle crack.
Crowd and callouts
Male Cheering, Female Cheering, Teenage Boy Callouts, Teenage Girl Callouts, Female Callouts. Expressive control over group and character reactions, for anything from a stadium roar to a single voice calling out from a crowd.
Voice and ambience
Retro News Show, Female Whisper, Quiet Museum, Twister Whisper. Spoken and whisper voice textures alongside two ambience beds, for atmosphere and dialogue-adjacent work.
Food and drink
Food Eating, Drink Pour, Drink Pouring. The everyday human activity end of the pack, for scenes that need a character eating or pouring a drink in the room with them.
How the presets work
Every preset in the pack is performable in real time. Load one, hit record, then move the XY pads while the sound plays. The recording captures what you played, so a different performance gives you a different take from the same preset.
That matters for crowd and callout work, where the same reaction often needs to appear several times in a scene. Play Male Cheering three times and you get three related but distinct takes, recognisably the same crowd, without layering duplicate recordings or pitching a single take to fake variation.
The presets are mixed and finished, so they go into the timeline as they are.
